Ski Club Storage Facility Project
Building Design
This is a rough sketch of the building we hope to construct. The overall footprint will be about 40 ft. by 60 ft. One of the bays will be heated. We will have a loft for Ski School Storage over the work spaces. Garage doors on both ends will allow for easy access trailering equipment.
Location
This map shows the approximate location of the building. It is on the Beltrami County land on Adams Avenue. This location is ideal. It allows easy access to trails within the city and to the trails to the north and the south of the city. Link to location on Google Maps.

Why Now?
For nearly 40 years, the BACCSC has been clearing and grooming almost 100km (60 miles) of local ski trails. Our work would not be possible without equipment, which has grown to include nine heavy duty snowmobiles, several enclosed and non-enclosed hauling trailers, two large tow-behind mowers, two all-terrain vehicles and more than 15 specialized trail grooming devices. Additionally, our equipment inventory also features skiing equipment to outfit more than 100 people, fulfilling our commitment to share the joy of skiing with our community.
For decades, much of our equipment inventory has found a home at Bob and Sally Montebello's. But, as we continue to grow, we've realized we need a more sustainable storage solution.
We're off to a great start on the project, with the County showing their support and offering land at minimal cost. It's a central location that's convenient for us. And the George W. Neilson Foundation has already granted us $105,000.
Our preliminary building cost is estimated $225,000 This means, after other sources, we need to raise about another $107,000 through fundraising and additional grants.
We are hoping you can help! We welcome gifts of any amount. Tax deductible gifts (or Qualified Charitable Distributions for those who are eligible) can be made to the Greater Bemidji Outdoor Fund, spendable account, at the Northwest Minnesota Foundation, a 501(c) 3 organization. Checks to the BACCSC are also welcome. We're willing to accept pledges over the next 3 years.
